Being a Nutrition major I have a deep love for food, more specifically, food that nurtures our bodies. One of my dreams is to open my own wholesome café and after learning of the opportunity to establish a food co-op on campus, I was hooked! Not only do I value great food, I tremendously appreciate good leadership skills and the importance of well-run business. This interest has fueled me to get my Master is Business Association following my completion of a Nutrition Degree. I want to ensure that my future business is run to its full potential.

As for my experience, I am currently the President of Cal Poly’s Surf Team and have been learning how to organizing multiple events as well as planning fundraisers. I also hold am part of many clubs on campus such as the Empower Poly Coalition, Nutrition Club, and now the Cal Poly Food Collective! I plan on making this club a major priority, viewing it as a tremendously beneficial learning experience for my future career. I am 100% committed to our efforts and can’t wait to see it grow and prosper!

My name is Anna Sitkoff and ill be a third year student at Cal Poly this coming fall. I am majoring in nutrition and starting a minor in sustainable agriculture nest quarter.  I am very passionate about sustainable food systems and a sustainable lifestyle in general.  I work at a vegan restaurant and make raw vegan desserts, my specialty is raw vegan cheesecake :) .  I worked with the cal poly organic farm last year in a program called farm to school.  in this program we went to different elementary schools around San Luis Obispo and planted organic gardens and taught the children about where food actually comes from and the importance of knowing how to grow your own food.  Also, I worked at a health food store in Tahoe for a few summers as well as an organic farm in Nevada city so i am familiar with fresh foods routes; from farm to fork.
