Ever since I was young, the aromas of fresh vegetables from my garden cooking on the stove has intrigued me. When I came to UCR, my love of food and my self proclaimed commitment to the the environment came together through a combination of the community garden as well as the forming of the UCR Food Co-Op. I want to create a sense of community through our most basic need, and feel that it is most important that we raise awareness of what our food system really is. Plus making food and eating it with people can be a great time, and we should have the best quality food to share with those we love.
